University Library offers orientation sessions at the Student Multimedia Design Center

The University of Delaware Library will be offering orientation sessions at the Student Multimedia Design Center this month.

8:49 a.m., February 1, 2016 – The University of Delaware Library this month will be offering orientation sessions at the Student Multimedia Design Center (SMDC).

Participants will learn about the facilities and services offered at SMDC, which is located on the lower level of the Morris Library.


June 6: UDid It! Picnic

All UD faculty and staff are welcome to attend the annual UDid It! Employee Appreciation Picnic, 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Monday, June 6, at The Green.

2FA protects you

If you are using two-factor authentication (2FA), even if a hacker has your password, your information is probably safe.

Each orientation session will begin with an informative tour of the studios, classrooms and general IT areas that make up the SMDC. Participants will learn about the multimedia and other library services offered by the center.

Participants will meet at the SMDC service counter at the start of each orientation.

Identical sessions will be available from 2 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, February 9; 2 p.m. to 2 p.m., Thursday, February 11; and from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m., Friday February 12.

Staff from the Multimedia Collections and Services Department will lead the sessions.

These workshops are available free of charge and are open to faculty, staff, and students of the University of Delaware. Places are limited and registration is compulsory. Online registration is available at this website.

If the proposed schedules do not correspond to the schedule of an individual, he can schedule an orientation at his convenience by contacting the center via the Request the SMDC form.
